21 December 2006Red Scarlet, known on the interwebs for her ass kicking of Super Metroid, tends to show me cool things from time to time. Well, apparently, she read you could beat Dragon Quest 2 (Super Famicom remake) without the second prince. So she did. And had me translate the little blurbs of dialog they added into the game for beating it without him. Nifty!

But seriously, little things like this in games are why I’m starting to fall in love with old games again. Not necessarily the ‘nostalgia’ factor. But rather, secrets are still being found in old games, new ways of doing things, and the rewards are simply finding these things, nothing more.
I like that.
