It was…

Ugh…we missed the last train…
Well, that was stupid. Not just missing the train. For the first time in my life I drank too much to remember what exactly happened. But, and here’s the weird thing, my wallet was no lighter at the end of the night. How I was drinking is somewhat of a mystery…that’s not good. Luckily I have all my belongings and outside of a bit of a stomach ache, feel fine. I’ll have to be more careful, although I guess we’re all allowed a few mistakes in life.
Today was pretty uneventful, I guess. Didn’t get home until 8:30 in the AM. Didn’t get to sleep until maybe 9:30 or so. Woke up a few hours later feeling a bit better, and finished watching my Arrested Development DVDs. Ah, such a damn fine show. This having been the third time I watched through the entire show, I’m still amazed how it gets funnier each time. There are so many little things that characters will say or mutter that seem fairly innocent, but really foreshadow large portions of the later episodes. Mind-boggingly awesome.
Tomorrow I go to meet the mayor of my new residence, then get to attend a party in my honor. Saturday I’m off to Osaka to meet up with a friend and do a little shopping. Next week will be interesting because I don’t really know what I’m supposed to be doing. No kids are in school right now and I don’t think there’s much for me to do, but I don’t want to ever give off the impression that I don’t want to be helpful. ’cause I do. Just don’t know exactly how yet. Ah the joys of starting a new job. Of course, I guess everyone I work with has seen people go through this many times over, I’m really the one who’s adjusting the most. Just can’t seem to be able to admit that to myself.

”although I guess we’re all allowed a few mistakes in life.”
– I don’t think it is that serious to count as one of the mistakes in life…. but just please be more careful from now on… people will worry about you ^^

Also, I don’t think you will be very busy next week or even by the end of August, because during this period it is the obon festival in Japan, many companies and organizations have a week off……. すごくうらやましい!!!
