Being the industry leader in bringing you my opinion, I thought that it is only my duty to tap that booty. And then bring you a pointless list of my top ten games of the year! Sprinkled with nonsensical Honorable Mentions for the why not of it.

Here’s what happened:
Tsunami.
Everyone died but Cecil.
Cecil had a Phoenix Down ready to go on Rosa.
Rosa raises, he casts Blizara on everyone and Rosa dies.
Cecil was ready to use a Phoenix Down on Edge, Edge raises.
Use Phoenix Down on Rosa then Elixer on her.
Blizaga on everyone. All but Rosa die.
Rosa gets set to raise someone, he casts Tsunami.

He is undead, neh? So how about an elixer for 9999 damage and then some healing spells?
But, he still took out 3 of my characters, and the other two were near death. Christ.
Repeated attacks of massive damage. The undead doctor Lugae is kicking my ass. I wonder if I’ll be able to finish any bosses from now on during my first try in this version.
This game is much harder than it was before.
Incredibly hard. I can’t believe the challenge I’ve had. Enemies are more vicious this time around. They use a lot more than just regular attacks. They counter attack like hell. The damage they do is sickening. You have to absolutely be on your toes at all times. And I’m loving it.
The biggest problem I had so far was the fucking dolls. This boss was annoying in the original, but this time the fuckers can counter. And when Yang does his kick, multiple dolls can counter attack him!
So yeah, it’s hard. Damnit.
So, I finished off No More Heroes. In one big sitting. I just plowed through the missions and battles. It was a blast. This is probably my top game of the year. It’s just that fucking good.
Its story has its confusing points, but they’re supposed to be there. The genius is how meta it is. It makes tons of cracks at gamers, games, Japanese pop culture and all other things. And it manages to be a fucking blast to play the whole time.
Turns out I was playing on easy, so I guess I’ll just have to play on a harder mode later. Oh darn. I’ll have to have fun again.
I really don’t want to talk too much about this game for fear of spoiling it. But, if you like games, buy this. Play it and if you don’t love it, I hate you.

I’ve got two weeks with nothing to do. I’ve already finished No More Heroes. (Have yet to update my progress log, eep!) I’m now working on the DS remake of FFIV right now which is actually refreshingly hard.
Post FFIV, I think I’ll finish FES. And then, I’m not sure. But there will be many games completed this week!
