I’m not one to often link to other blogs or sites on piddling news. But my brothers and sisters, today I have stumbled across the pinnicale moment of mankind. Where we go from here I cannot tell you.
But I have seen God. And it is good.

Yes. That’s right. That’s a cup. A cup made from bacon. Click the image for more information.

Random.
I was back in the states, at a friend’s house in Jersey. We were watching a TV show called ‘Happiness’ which documented major events in the lives of families. This one was about a family who adopted a Chinese baby girl. Documented all their going over there and info about her life. Then the last event was when her father was in a van that was driving somewhere, and the mother was driving the girl to some practice or something. The father’s van is in a car accident and the back of the van gets ripped off. This causes chaos behind where the mother swerves, hits something, the daughter is decapitated and her head goes flying out of the car and lands into the lap of her father who is still sitting in the destroyed van.
Couldn’t fall back asleep after that one.

I swear it seems every month there’s something that Japan embraces so hard that it almost hurts. I have heard Amazing Grace so much this month. I can’t explain it. It’s just being used everywhere. Did I somehow not notice it before? Why am I noticing it now? Why does everything play Amazing Fucking Grace?

I often find myself doing things without questioning why. As of late I began weighing myself before and after evacuating the bowels. There is no impending need for this. I don’t get off to the idea of my own feces or those of anyone else. Perhaps it can best be described as a fascination with one’s own body. Wanting a deeper understanding of what it is that actually makes a person a person. To date there has yet to be a significant change on the scale post movement. I blame the metric system and my own poor eyesight.

Gaming and Videos.
So I’ve finished playing Final Fantasy IV DS a while back. This would be the fifth copy I’ve owned (FFIIUS, FFIV Wonderswan Color, FFIV PSX, FFIV GBA being the previous four). The only copy I don’t have is the Easy Type. And I guess if you count the fact that the original Japanese version is different from the US one (besides the language, I mean), you could really count seven versions of the game. Let’s not even get into regional differences of the other versions.
So yeah, there are lots of versions of FFIV out there. Is this a good thing? All these ports and remakes? Well, since new gamers are born every day I’d argue it is.

So I was musing around my thoughts and came to a brilliant realization. Both the Final Fantasy and Devil May Cry series have a lot in common. I main difference is that I don’t hate Final Fantasy. Sure, Devil May Cry lacks about 8 installments on Final Fantasy but in this day and age of milking and whoring I’m sure they’ll catch up eventually. Or maybe they’ll pull a Halo and end my suffering. Alas, this is Capcom who I think now have more Mega Man Series than there are days in a month.
Anyway, onwards to my rambling comparisons! Continue reading ‘Fantasy Devil May Finally Cry’

Sometimes I wonder about the sanity of some of my students. I just had a kid last class yelling “PK THUNDER! PK FIRE!” the whole time. I was trying to crack up but one time I yelled “PK FLASH!” right back at him.
I don’t think he’s unlocked Ness yet.
