Winter break is soon.

Man, I am tired. I mean, just exhausted. This year has really been something else. Really good, some real shit, but positive all around. Gonna be fairly busy once Winter break kicks up, but busy in a good way. I have 20 more classes before the semester ends, which is cool. Keeps me busy!

But damn, I am excited for a break.

As I don’t have enough nerdy junk adorning my apartment (Really. The place is pretty bare!) when I saw these cans pimping Final Fantasy Dissidia, I couldn’t resist. I saw a good number of available cans, but I had to snag Butz and Tina (FF5 and 6 respectively). The other sides of the cans have Exdeath and Kefka to pair each character up with the game’s villain.

I’m not entirely sure what cans there are all together, but I know I saw Frionel from FF2 and Nayan over at HDRLying got the FF1 and 3 ones. If I can find a FF8 one, I’ll have to buy it. But assuming they made one for each of the ten pairs of characters I might have to catch ‘em all.

Update:
Found this website for the cans. Looks like there are 16 cans in total. One each for the pairs of good and bad guys for Final Fantasy 1 through 10. They ignored FF12! Thank goodness!

In the remaining six, 2 for Chaos and Cosmos, which seem to have Yoshitaka Amano art of all the characters from each side. The remaining 4 just show off the game’s CG and some of the characters as made for the game.

Hmm, guess there is one more game for me to pick up this year!

Oi. Damn JLPT really took away from my focus on games. But, things have finally cleared up and now I am going to start working on finishing what I have on my plate. Like I said before, I am pretty damn lucky that there is nothing else coming out this year I want. I really need to start digging into the backlog. First up is getting through Chrono Trigger DS and The Last Remnant, which have been taking up what gaming time I have.

I am trying to make flash cards for the children! About fruit!

Whoops. Didn’t have a chance to write this up. Been feeling really tired.

The JLPT has been taking so much of my time, but I have still been managing to fit my WiiFit into the schedule.

Mother 3 I finally finished, which I posted about earlier. Good game, but not as great as I hoped.

The Last Remnant is getting better and better. So many battles really keep me on my toes. I find myself saving a lot just incase I mess up. I tend to play fairly risky so it’s nice to not lose hours of progress.

As I thought, I gave up on the touch controls for CTDS. They’re not bad, mind. I’m just so used to the other controls I find myself going back to them without even thinking about it. The shortcuts on the touch screen are nice, though. I find myself tapping them with my thumbs to get to the different menus.

I’m not seeing anything coming up for the rest of the year that I really want to play. This is good. With Winter Vacation around the corner, I might just be able to finish a few games Before the new year. My hopes involve tapping off TLR and CTDS first and then working on Nameless Game, and Persona 4.
