Finished Game Center CX. Guadia Quest isn’t a full length RPG, but it is a meaty game. Was definitely a nice little taste of old school. Going to have to pick up the sequel, but I think I can hold off for a while as there is time now. But no time for Klax.
In Street Fighter 4 I’ve been hovering around 1000 BP for the past week. I’m definitely at some sort of turning point as far as skill level goes but it is still a bit frustrating. I can’t really work on higher level combos and the like until I can get basic execution down. That’s still the big work in progress. Wanting to do one move and pulling off a completely different one does not make for smooth battles. The amount of times I Sakura Otoshi and fail1 is staggeringly stupid. But, practice, practice, practice.
Now that Game Center CX is out of the way, I think Devil Survivor is going to be my next of the backlog to topple. I’m stuck at a battle where I’m not entirely sure if I’m able to beat the enemy I want to beat, he escapes too fast. I know there are multiple endings and shit, and if this doesn’t result in the bad ending, I may just let it be so I can finish the game.
The only new release on the horizon for me is the Persona port for the PSP, but I’m still not sure if I really want to get it as I just lost the nub off of my poor PSP. Poor PSP, how I hate you.
- Basically it’s a hop that Sakura does that sets up for a three hit combo. If you don’t start that three hit combo, i.e. press no buttons, she does a little oopsies animation and you can get attacked. If I do it accidentally, I rarely catch it in time to hit some buttons and not oopsie myself into some damage. [↩]
