Whoopsies! To say I’ve been busy is a bit of a half lie.

I wish I could say I’ve booted up Dragon Quest 9 but I haven’t. I wanted to be finished with the main quest by next week1 but alas I have been drawn into the bosom of a harsh mistress who will not let me free. A grasp that is not entirely unfamiliar but one that brings much shame just as well.

I’m hooked on Yu-Gi-Oh, dude.

I really can’t explain it2 but thanks to the World Championship Tournament 2009 DS game I can play and deck build to my hearts content without blowing lots of money on cards. That’s not to say I’m not looking to play in real life, but until I can find a good number of people to play with there’s little reason to spend money on cards. Even then, this time I’m keeping it realistic. I can have fun without blowing tons of cash. But that feeling of playing a card game in real life is one that I can’t replicate elsewhere and one I truly do miss.

Next week is SaGa2 and thus beings the winter onslaught of new games. I’m going to try to be more frugal this year, though. My backlog is probably at the worst it has ever been at the moment. But now that school is back in session and Eriko is back to being busy I’ve got more than enough time to clear out a few games this coming month.

  1. SaGa 2 remake, bay-bee! []
  2. Yes I can. I love card games. []
