Okay, since I was taking a goddamned test for 6 hours yesterday I feel like I have a good reason to not have updated. I was tired. That aside, I have been playing games!

First up to talk about is Maken X. Well, I’m playing Maken Shao which is the 3rd person view PS2 version of the 1st person DC game sans Nazi content and plus some content that I’m not sure of. Game’s pretty fucking hard and I’m not sure if I’d say it’s a great game but I don’t feel like Atlus phoned this game in. It’s not Devil May Shin Megami Tensei ((And to be fucking fair, Maken X came out before Devil May Cry did.)) but it’s an interesting game nonetheless. The first person version might have been more interesting, but I got the PS2 one on the cheap.

Next on the chart is Final Fantasy Tactics. Yep, I’m trying once again to get through the damn game. It’s just a sore point in my life history that I never beat the game. I’m using the scroll glitch to max out some jobs JP because, fuck you, I’ve put so many hours into the game before, and it’s not as if having all the skills1 makes the game super easy. You’ve still got that strategery thing to worry about.

And for the big shocker to those of you who know me, I picked up Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2: Another Subtitle. It’s… probably the most fun I’ve ever had playing a first person shooter. You take a FPS game, which I suck at, but add on top RPG type elements, which I drool over, and you’ve got a game that I suck at but want to keep playing. That’s addictive.

And last, but not least, is the little game that has been filling up my wait time, Unblock Me. I only got the free version off of the iTunes Store, and while I’m having a great time solving all the puzzles of this sliding block game, they gave more than enough puzzles for me to be bored of it by the time I’ve finished them. That’s awesome for me, but sucks for the company because there’s no way I’m paying the cash for even more puzzles than they already gave me. I just don’t have the time.

We’re at crunch time before the holidays and these holidays bring a lot of games but due to budget I’m only picking up Final Fantasy XIII. Hopefully I can clear a few out of the backlog before that hits the shelves next Thursday.

  1. Not that this glitch even lets you get the majority of the skills, only from a few classes. []
